You can select a mild salicylic cleanser to prevent your skin from drying out. It will help in opening up your pores and moisturise your face. Avoid scrubbing your skin with a cloth. Use the tips of your fingers to wash your face in a gentle manner. However, you must avoid cleaning your face frequently. It can otherwise irritate your skin, which can result in more breakouts.

In addition, you need to consider the water's temperature. For instance, cold water can worsen your acne. You must therefore use hot water as it is gentle on your skin and protects your skin against any acne formation.

2. Have a non-comedogenic and an oil-free moisturiser

According to Everyday Health, your doctor may recommend that you use certain types of creams to deal with your acne. It can make your skin dry. For this reason, you can use a daily moisturiser or a face gel with salicylic acid and tea tree oil on your skin to decongest your skin pores.
